ABOUT
The Oriel Gallery is Ireland’s leading art gallery. Located in the heart of Georgian Dublin’s cultural and artistic centre. The Oriel boasts an array of contemporary artists work and the biggest names in 19th – 20th Century Irish art. Works of art by Jack B Yeats, Paul Henry and Sir John Lavery can be seen alongside the most sought-after names in contemporary Irish artist such as Liam O’Neill, Anthony Murphy, Victor Richardson and many more.
Our Georgian house was first opened as an art gallery in 1968. The elegant space and fine period features presents a unique experience as a gallery for both contemporary and 19th/20th century art. The Oriel Gallery stand out feature is the stained glass above the gallery windows representing the artwork of Markey Robinson who had a studio on the 2nd floor.
For over 50 years, The Oriel has been a beacon of the Irish art set, with its most famous names gracing it walls and exhibitions. It is with that ideal in mind that we move on into the 21st Century with some of the most exciting and in demand artists painting today.
